The author, Jeff Mudd, did an excellent job in taking the reader through a lifetime of memories. Each chapter is written like an essay, as you finish each chapter you feel like you have completed a phase of life with Jasper Schitt. The book takes you through the trials and tribulations of growing up with Jasper, you share his successes, disappointments, laughter and tears.
I look forward to many more successes from the author, Jeff Mudd.
I love first novels, and Jeff Mudd's story about coming of age in West Texas is one of the best. Mudd uses humor and an observant eye to tell his tale of Jasper Schitt's teenage experiences with sex, dope dealers, and a struggle to make the varsity football team at Picadilly high. You wind up loving Jasper, cheering his victories, and aching when he stumbles. Jason Mudd is clearly a talented author, who is only going to get better.
